Accepting What Is
We often think, “It shouldn’t be like this!”, when something goes wrong or we don’t fulfil our wishes. Likewise, we often look at other people and think, “they shouldn’t do/say that!”.
“Should” is a very useful word but we frequently use it in the context of the things we don’t like or want, or which “should” be other than what they are. Instead, we could learn to accept that things are what they are, people are who they are and that what we might want is not necessarily what we get. That does not mean we do nothing to resolve a difficult situation, but it does mean we can approach it with wisdom and understanding and be effective in managing problems whilst keeping a happy mind.
When we can accept what is, instead of fighting against it, wishing it was something else, we free ourselves from the emotions and constraints we normally experience. With this freedom we can peacefully move on with our day, remain calm and when problems arise, we can overcome them without the upset and hurt.
These classes are suitable for everyone and everyone is welcome.
