GENERAL SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR

Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong is the General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition-International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU) and the Resident Teacher at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre , the Mother Centre of Kadampa Buddhism. Gen-la has studied and practised Kadampa Buddhism for many years under the guidance of her Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

As one of Venerable Geshe Kelsang’s close disciples, Gen-la Dekyong is known for her heartfelt teachings, humour and kindness which exemplify the essence of the Buddhist way of life. She is a perfect example of a Kadampa Teacher. Each year, Gen-la Dekyong teaches at International Festivals, National Festivals, and Dharma Celebrations throughout the world.

DEPUTY SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR

Gen-la Kelsang Jampa is the Deputy Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU) and Resident Teacher at International Kadampa Retreat Centre Grand Canyon. He is an American Buddhist monk dedicated to helping people solve their daily problems by developing the capacity of their mind through the practice of meditation and modern Buddhism.

Gen-la Jampa has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for many years. Under Geshe-la’s guidance, he has taught at many Centres and events internationally. Gen-la is well-loved for his clear and inspiring teachings, and his ability to touch people’s hearts through his sincerity and loving-kindness.

NATIONAL SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR – UK

Kadam Bridget Heyes is also the National Spiritual Director of the UK, of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU). She is a senior disciple of venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, and has been practising for over 20 years. Kadam Bridget is known for her powerful teachings, compassionate heart, and deep understanding of Buddha’s wisdom advice. Her teachings are exceptionally clear and she presents profound ideas in a way that are easy to practice and integrate into daily life. Kadam Bridget shows an inspiring example for everyone on the spiritual path.

Kadam Bridget is also the principal teacher at Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Centre and as well as regular courses at the Nagarjuna Centre, she also teaches at various National Dharma Celebrations throughout the year.

RESIDENT TEACHER – KMC PLYMOUTH

Gen Kelsang Dragden has been practicing since 2000 and was ordained in 2006. Having worked and taught in many centres, Gen Dragden is now the principal teacher at KMC Plymouth, teaching evening classes, courses, and our foundation and teacher training programmes as well as branch classes.

Gen Dradgen presents Buddha’s teachings and meditations in an inspiring yet practical way. He is very skilled at explaining how to make these teachings immediately effective in our busy modern lives, which he exemplifies through his patience, kind heart and overt commitment to helping others.
