Finding Clarity

Thursdays 7pm – 8.30pm

July 4, 11, 18, 25

Finding Clarity

We say the nature of mind is clarity, but what does this mean and why is it of any use to us? If we can gain insight into the nature of our mind through our own experience, we can understand what the mind is, how it functions and how our thoughts, feelings and emotions arise. With even a small understanding we can start to transform our lives by harnessing the power of our mind to work for us rather than against us.

Using special meditations on the nature of mind by following simple instructions, we can gain infinite benefits – from calming our mind and helping us to dissolve away distractions, worry and anxiety, to improving our concentration and mindfulness, these mediations will ultimately lead us all the way to enlightenment.

These powerful yet simple meditations can be used by anyone, and these classes are suitable for everyone be they a beginner or someone with experience.

Inspiring Solutions

We all want to be happy and to avoid any kind of suffering and difficulties. This has always been our main wish in life and we spend our whole life trying hard to fulfil this wish.

We have spent much time and energy improving our external conditions in our search of lasting happiness and to find solutions to our problems but what has been the result? Problems still come and our happiness is still fragile. This shows us that we need to find a true method to achieve lasting happiness free, from problems.

When we understand that happiness is a state of mind and that the source of our unhappiness is our uncontrolled mind, we will be inspired to follow the true methods to take control of our mind and use the solutions to overcome our problems and difficulties.

In these classes we will learn about the source of our problems and engage with the inspiring solutions which will enable us to overcome them.

Transforming Problems

What if we could turn our problems and worries into useful situations which help us maintain a peaceful happy mind. Well, the good news is we can learn to do exactly that!

Until now we have tried hard to find happiness and avoid unhappiness, but things do not always turn out the way we would wish them to. However, if we know the correct methods, we can start to change our problems into the means of keeping a happy mind.

With an understanding of wisdom and compassion it is perfectly possible to turn even the greatest hardships into sources of happiness and joy for ourselves and others. We just need to know what these methods are and how to use them – which is exactly what these classes will tell us. We can then take these methods with us into our daily lives and start the process of changing problems into solutions.

Kindness Made Easy

We hear the words kindness and compassion used a lot and certainly Buddha taught that compassion is a main cause of happiness for ourselves and others. But what do they really mean and how do we use our kindness and compassion to benefit ourself and others?

In these classes we will explore what compassion is and how we can easily build compassion into our daily lives; enabling us to maintain a happy, peaceful and loving mind regardless of our external conditions.

Using our understanding, we can use many methods to develop our compassion, and with familiarity and some effort, we will naturally and easily apply these when we encounter difficulties – transforming our unhappy mind into a happier, loving one.
