Introduction to Tantra

Half-Day Course

Saturday 25th April

10am-1.15pm

Introduction to Tantra

Tantra is the quick path to enlightenment. It is the rarest of instructions and so we have a wonderful opportunity on this introductory half-day course to start exploring the power and purity of Tantric practices. Through carefully structured and proven meditation techniques, we can image bringing our inner potential for future results of the path to enlightenment into the here and now. In doing so Tantra uses the power of our imagination to create the pure and perfect world that we would love for everyone.

This event is also a perfect introduction for anyone attending this year’s NKT-IKBU International Summer Festival where a Highest Yoga Tantra Empowerment will be granted. More details on the link:

Through carefully structured and proven meditation techniques, we can image bringing our inner potential for future results of the path to enlightenment into the here and now; awakening our pure mind. Relating to this we create the causes to experience results in our everyday lives much more quickly. By imagining ourselves filled with compassionate and wisdom, we can break free of our usual mundane ideas and rouse our potential for limitless, pure happiness.

This introductory course will give us practical skills to meditate on two key stages of Tantric practices, dispel the myths about Tantra and give us the confidence to use these meditations in our daily life.

Group Walk Day Out

Saturday 20th June

Various times & places to meet

Group Walk – Noss Mayo & Gara Point

Join us for a relaxing walk around Gara Point and Noss Mayo in the southwest of Devon, a short journey from Plymouth. Friends and family are welcome as are dogs. Enjoy some timeout with likeminded friends. Everyone is welcome.

This is a gentle paced walk suitable for everyone to enjoy but there is a steep climb up at one point but we will be taking it very easy and we can take all the time we need.

Whilst we are out and about, we’ll also take the time to engage in a guided meditation whilst overlooking the sea – how wonderful!

Meet at the centre or at the National Trust car park near Noss Mayo – see “Times & Places to Meet” below.

Along the route we will take time to enjoy a peaceful guided meditation with Gen Dragden and if we are lucky, we’ll find an ice cream van too!

This walk will go ahead regardless of the weather – it will just be a lot shorter and will emphasise finding a café!

Meet at KMC Plymouth by 9.45am for carsharing and lifts to the starting point

OR

Meet at The National Trust Car Park for 10:30am.

Car Park Address & Meeting Point:

Warren, Hannaford Road, Devon PL8 1EL

Grid ref: SX541465

This walk will be a rewarding circular walk round the wilder side of the Yealm estuary, from Gara Point to Noss Mayo, taking in a combination of Victorian history and wildlife along the way. We will also divert into Noss Mayo itself for some refreshments and to share time enjoying the company of our spiritual friend.

Further information about the area can be found here: Gara Point

If you are able to offer someone a lift to the starting point for this walk we would love to hear from you. Please contact us by using our form on the link below and include a telephone number in your message.

Becoming Fearless

Half-Day Course

Saturday 11th July

10am-1.15pm

Becoming Fearless

There appears to be so much to fear and be worried about in our world today, but what if we could build within ourselves an inner protection that had the power to help and protect us from painful feelings such as anxiety or worry?

These half-day events are suitable for everyone, no previous experience needed. Everyone is welcome.

What if there was a power that enabled us to do the things we never thought we could and that enabled us to overcome the fear that we might fail when we tried? We all have the potential to develop this, all we need to do is gain familiarity with training our mind in positive attitudes and actions.

On this half day course, we will look first at the Buddhist approach to overcoming fear and worry: what is fear, how does it arise, what can we do to reduce it? We will then explore meditations and daily life practices that can help us take on life’s challenges without fear.

Saturday 11th July

Session 1: 10am – 11.15am
Session 2: 12pm – 1.15pm

Each session conissts of a teaching with guided meditations.

Our World Peace Café will be open during the break serving hot and cold drinks, delicious home-made cakes and a variety of snacks.
